Weight Training FUN! :) basahin nyo! ;D

So this is not something to brag nor to complain about. >_<

I took WEIGHT TRAINING this first sem, and i gained 4 cm on my legs (calf) and 3cm on my arms (bicep). at least if these are accurate.

At the beginning of the sem there's a pre-test, measuring the arms and legs. then how many push-ups and abdominal crunches in 30 seconds. at the end there's a post-test (doi.) i don't know bout you, but my push-ups increased from only 10 to 17 and sit-ups from 24 to 36. haha.:)

I really can't brag or something coz i can't compare myself to anyone, those are just numbers. we can't evaluate a person with them. and i can't complain just because i got bigger. [although i wish i could've lost some cm at other parts also.Xp] althemore i'm happy because i gained strength to do and practice more dance ministry stunts and stuff!XD sabi nga ni jared, "ayaw mo nun, lumakas ka?" yey.:D hehe.

But i'm also a girl, right? haha. im big enough as it is, i want to be fit! >.< eeeeeniweyz.

I just want to ENCOURAGE you guys who want to tone up your muscles and be stronger, magweight training na! plus it's fun, once you try it. =)

Also, i'm thankful i gained knowledge of such activity. I now know the routine, exercises for each part of the body: biceps, triceps, chest, shoulders, legs, back and abnomen; what to do when you hear the terms peck deck, bench flie, tricep dips, back lateral pulldown, etc.

I want to share some BENEFITS and MISCONCEPTIONS about weight traning.
Yes, lecture ang first day ng weight training. haha.^__^

BENEFITS of WEIGHT TRAINING (WT):
1. Tones the muscles.
2. Improves sports performance.
3. Strengthens bones {with proper form and execution} - improves posture and helps prevent osteoporosis.

MYTHS/MISCONCEPTIONS about WT:

1. WT makes your muscles bigger.
--Not always true. For males, muscles do get bigger because of testosterone. But for females, they don't. they form and improves in shape because of estrogen.

2. You won't get taller.
--WT does not prevent you to increase in height. In short, walang konek.

3. WT makes a woman unfeminine.
--mehn?. not true, many women are also athletes and need to stay in shape.

4. Muscle tissues turn to fat when you stop WT.
--anoraw? - muscle only return to their original [state] size or form

5. Damages bones: knees, back, etc.
--this becomes true when the form is not correct, or execution is improper. therefore FORM is important.

6. WT slows a person down. -or this implies the person becomes heavier.
--Ulet, walang konek. wala ring konek sa weight. In fact it's the other way around. because your muscles are toned, you can do more movement, right? ^_^

So, that's it! Go na magpreenist na sa CRS: WEIGHT TRAINING! Extended until today, and moved ang batch processing tomorrow, monday! Malalaman ang results sa 14 na tuesday. anyway, may tatlong processing naman. :P
